Are we truly Aatmanirbhar?

Dear Readers,

Out with the old, in with the new: may you be happy the whole year through. Happy New Year!(I think that the sweetness in you will overlook my late wishes:))

All what I gather from the platter of my news daily served to me is that India has taken a new call towards self sufficiency. Well I think that the Indians who would be reading my blog would not be new to "Aatmanirbhar Bharat" concept. This has indeed become a common household name!

But to accept the grim truth, this is yet another cynical gimmick of the big fat Indian polticians! We all had become free from the cluthes of the foreign rule about 75 years ago but in reality we are still a caged bird stooping behind the bars. Well few might argue with me, but according to my observations we are loosing our reliance. Let us talk about entertainment industry. India has always held the coveted award of producing the most films in the world in a year. Mumbai-the city of dreams- had provided fuel to the households of  thousands of artisians but the scenario has become topsy-turvy now. The multi-crore business houses like AmazonPrime and Netflix are the emerging game setters and sadly all the revenue they earn is drained to first world nations. There are almost 15 million users of these big companies! The number seems mind blogging, right? But now multiply it with another Rs. 200 and you get their monthly revenues. This is just a trailer and in the upcoming years these might jeopardise the incomes of lakhs of Indian artisians!

When every other Indian dreams of wearing those exquisite foreign stuff what can we expect from our dear poor craftsmen? This fact sometimes ripples of a feeling of anguish and contempt in me. Why can't we all as Indians support indigenous products rather than spending lavishly on foreign commodities? If we don't start asking for fancy and sophisticated Indian items then how will people start producing it?

Well when it comes to travelling, we step back from making any travel plans in India although India is one of  most beautiful place in the world! Everyone wants to visit Venice and Thailand although places like Allepy and Goa are awaiting to be explored  in our own homeland!

Let us turn the tide now! Being educated Indians, we can really make a difference.I believe that everyone better knows their role in making our country truly independent and it needs no explaination. Remember,"Divided we fall, United we stand."

LET US REDRESS THE BALANCE AND CONCEIVE OUR DREAMS TO REALITY!!!
