Where True Happiness Lies?

Dear Readers,
The thought of the aim of a commoner's life makes me feel perplexed. It sometimes bemuses me to think what is the goal of every human being. We preach to achieve self satisfaction and mirth but where do we finally land?

Human beings are really baffling. One is always in a race of money and prestige in reality. But when questioned about his real intentions the straight forward answer that comes is to lead a happy life.Parents work hard to fulfill all the dreams of their children but what is the use if they  don't have a single second to spare?Isn't this really sardonic? We all dream of a heavenly home but is a home without giggles and laughter a 'true home'?In my opinion it doesn't even own the distinction of being called a home. It is just four walls where one can lay their head at night- lifeless like the bricks and lonesome as the owner.

Society measures success by money. The higher the zeroes in a person's bank account, higher is the respect he garners. But dear soul, is this what you wanted your life to be? Do you want to become a mere puppet who dances with the tune of the society?I don't deny the fact that financial stability is a virtue but blindly getting entrapped in this world of desires (moh maya) and relishing the standards of society will cut off one from his own soul.

An hour for oneself won't cost you much, will it?This might really help you condition your neurons and four-five years will be added to your life.(A bonus fact that I read in Quora)
Yours own,
Diksha...
